1. Project Overview

Problem Statement:

SVAM’s corporate website was outdated both in terms of design and usability. It lacked a modern visual identity, had inconsistent branding, poor navigation, and did not effectively communicate SVAM's service offerings and global presence. The mobile responsiveness and accessibility were also not up to current standards, resulting in low engagement and high bounce rates.

Solution:

Revamp the SVAM website with a user-centric, modern design that aligns with the company’s brand identity, improves navigation and content discoverability, enhances responsiveness across devices, and effectively showcases their services, case studies, and industry expertise to drive conversions and build credibility.

2. My Role

Role: UX Designer
Responsibilities:

  • Conducted stakeholder interviews to gather requirements

  • Performed UX audits of the existing site

  • Created new information architecture and navigation flows

  • Designed wireframes and interactive high-fidelity prototypes

  • Collaborated with developers and content teams for smooth handoff

  • Participated in usability testing and implemented feedback

3. Research & Discovery

  • Stakeholder Interviews: Engaged leadership, sales, and marketing teams to understand business goals and pain points

  • User Persona Development: Identified key user types — potential clients, partners, job seekers

  • Competitive Analysis: Benchmarked against 10+ IT service providers to identify UI/UX standards and innovation opportunities

  • Analytics Review: Used Google Analytics to understand high-exit pages and behavior flows

Key Findings:

  • Users struggled to find relevant service information

  • Inconsistent CTAs led to drop-offs

  • Lack of social proof or updated case studies impacted trust

  • Mobile usage was high, but performance was poor

4. Design Process

  • Information Architecture Redesign: Streamlined content under clearer categories (Industries, Services, About, Careers, etc.)

  • Wireframes: Created low-fidelity wireframes to establish layout and content hierarchy

  • Visual Design: Designed a modern, professional UI reflecting SVAM’s global presence, including iconography and color systems aligned with branding

  • Prototype: Built interactive prototypes using Figma for stakeholder walkthroughs

  • Developer Handoff: Delivered assets, design specifications, and style guide for smooth implementation

7. Website Flow

  1. Home – Overview of services, industries, testimonials, and key CTAs.

  2. About Us – Company mission, leadership, values, and global presence.

  3. Services – Categorized service offerings with details and case studies.

  4. Blog – Thought leadership content, updates, and SEO-focused articles.

  5. Career – Job openings, culture highlights, and application form.

  6. Contact Us – Simple contact form, office locations, and communication details.

Pain Point Addressed:

  • Poor Navigation & Discoverability – Users struggled to find key information quickly.

  • Outdated Design – The site lacked visual appeal and was not fully responsive.

  • Lack of Engagement & Trust-building Content – Minimal details on services, team, and insights led to low user engagement.

8. Challenges & Solutions

🚧 Challenge: Complex service offerings were hard to condense into intuitive navigation.
Solution: Used mega menu design with icons and short descriptors to aid scanning.

🚧 Challenge: Inconsistent legacy content and branding across pages.
Solution: Created modular content templates to enforce consistency and future scalability.

9. Impact & Results

  • Bounce rate reduced by 35% post-launch

  • Increased average session duration by 50% due to improved navigation and content readability

  • Client inquiries through contact form rose by 2.5x within the first 3 months

  • Stakeholders appreciated the clarity in showcasing capabilities and improved user flow

10. Conclusion & Learnings
